Instagram is an American photo and video sharing social networking service owned by
Facebook, created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and originally launched on iOS in October
2010.
WHO IS KEVIN SYSTROM?

The founder of the Instagram network, Kevin Systrom, was born in 1983 in San Diego, California. He is the
son of Diane Pelz, a marketing executive at Zipcar, who also worked for Monster and Swapit. His father is
Douglas Systrom, vice president of Human Resources at TJX.
WHO IS MIKE KRIEGER?

Michel Krieger is a Brazilian-American entrepreneur and software engineer who co-founded Instagram with
Kevin Systrom and was its CTO. Under Krieger's leadership as CTO, Instagram has expanded from a few
million users to 1 billion monthly active users.
 HOW DOES INSTAGRAM WORK?

Instagram is a social network, and a highly visual one at that. Every time you open the app,
you'll be met with a main feed of recent posts from the accounts you follow. At the bottom is a
menu bar, which is accessible anywhere you are in the app.
 WHAT CAN WE DO IN
INSTAGRAM?

Well in Instagram we can post our photos or videos, we can watch the lives of different
celebrities or friends, find new friends, subscribe to different people.
