LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Pupils are able to guess at least 3 household items


based on the recording correctly.
• Pupils are able to answer at least 3 correct
household items in the worksheet.
TEACHING AIDS

• Sound recordings
• Worksheets
SET INDUCTION

1)Teacher plays the sounds of household items.


2)Pupils name the objects based on the sounds.
(Example: washing machine, fan, radio,
television, blender, etc)
ACTIVITY

1)Teacher distribute worksheet.


2)Pupils need to answer each question about
household items by listening to the description
said by the teacher.
EXAMPLE

1)You use it to clean the dusk on the floor.


2)It is an electronic device.
3)It is so noisy

Answer: Vacuum
CLOSURE

1)Teacher review the new vocab that the pupils


have learnt with flashcards.
RATIONALE

Listening activities offer great opportunities to


teach new words or review vocabulary previously
taught.

Giving activities before, during and after listening


means that learners are not just listening but are
engaged in the task, and actually doing something
with what they hear.
