Chapter I
Background of the Study
Introduction
A number of factors affect senior high school student
performance. Many of these factors may be
perceived as being academic—related to the relevant
skill sets that a student may have and how they
access the educational offer. One of the general
missions of higher education is to develop these
academic skills: enhancing critical thinking and
educational frameworks through teaching, feedback,
and access to high quality resources. However,
nonacademic factors that impact students’ chances of
attaining success in higher education are equally
important and deserve investigation.
Statement of the Problem
In the modern world,time is seen as an indefinitely
divisible and usable commodity.it helps to infuse
the concept of time management behavior
through the institution.
This study will be conducted with intent of finding
answers to the following questions:
1. Demographic profile of the respondent:
i. Age
ii. Gender
2. Does students’ have a clear idea of what they want
to accomplish for each week?
3. How does students make a schedule for the
activities they have to do during schooldays?
4. What are the possible impact of having time
management in the academic performance of the
students?
Significance of the Study
Time management is a good way to make progress
in academic performance, And this study were
expected to be useful to the following individuals:
A.Students. In particular, they will have the
knowledge of good time allocation academically, in
limited time.
It also has good results in their school performance
B.Teachers. As Teachers also understand the impact
of time management in academic, they will be
aware the limit of manageable activities of the
Grade 12 students. Moreover, the clear idea of what
they accomplish each week.
C.Parents. they will be also aware of the effects of
dedicating time to study, its aim is to provide good
support to their child by giving enough time for
academic. As well guidance proper time
management in other tasks.
Scope of the Delimitation of the Study
This research focuses the Impact of Time Management
Behavior in Academic Performance of Students . This
also covers how students manage their time in academic
performance as well as their other tasks. Moreover, the
respondents will be limited to 30 Grade 12 students who
are in Senior High of Labrador National High School.

able to gather information coming from
respondents. Lastly , the output will know here
how the student cope with the impact of time

Definition of terms
Time management - is the process of organizing and
planning how to divide your time between specific
activities. Good time management enables you to
work smarter - not harder - so that you get more done
in less time, even when time is tight and pressures are
high.
Pandemic - occuring over a wide geographic area
(such as multiple countries or continents) and typically
affecting a significant proportion of the population.
Behavioral- means relating to the behavior of a person
or animal, or to the study of their behavior emotional
and behavioral problems.
Manage-the people in charge of running a company or
organization, regarded collectively.
Strategies-a plan of action to be able an achieve
something in an easier way.
