THE DANGERS IN SMOKING
• Tobacco smoke contains over 70 known cancer-causing
chemicals. Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body,
causing many diseases and reducing health in general.
• Smoking when you are pregnant causes harm to your
unborn baby.
• Children exposed to second-hand smoke in their first year
of life have a greater risk of illness and sudden unexpected
death in infancy (SUDI).

Nicotine, which is an addictive drug found in the
tobacco products like cigarettes is a poisonous
stimulant. Consuming this stimulant releases the
chemical dopamine in the human brain. Wherein it
prompts the brain to repeat the same behavior like using
tobacco over and over again. According to “NIDA Blog
Team”( 2019), “The brain gets dopamine “hit” from
nicotine every time a person takes a puff on a cigarette
or inhales vapor from an e-cigarette that contains
nicotine.
