What is Protists?
 are a diverse group of microbes. They are
found everywhere. Protists can be unicellular,
multicellular.
Examples:
 Protozoan
 Algae
 Funguslike protists

What is Protozoans?
 are animal-like protists. They are classified
according to their mode of movement.
Examples:
 Sarcodines
 Ciliates
 Flagellates
 Sporozoans

What is Algaes?
 these are plantlike protists. Algae are responsible
for most of the photosynthesis in bodies.
Examples:
 Chlorophytes (Green algae)
 Rhodophytes (Red algae)
 Dinoflagellates (source of red tide)
 Diatoms
 Phaeophytes (Brown algae)
