Domingo, Ernesto O.

 Ernesto Domingo is famous for his remarkable contributions to the medical field.
 He has a strong advocacy for public health in the Philippines and has worked to improve
access to healthcare and medical education in the country.
 Dr. Ernesto Domingo is notable for his ground-breaking work on viral hepatitis, liver disease,
and the schistosoma species. His study resulted in the development of the first hepatitis-B
vaccine for infants, which serves as a preventive measure against liver cancer. His research
has significance in immunology and healthcare.

 a pediatrician, author and humanitarian from the Philippines.
 devoted her entire life to advancing pediatrics in the country. She even trained doctors,
paramedics, and lay health professionals in child care in addition to conducting research
in several areas of pediatrics. She even went so far as to provide outreach services to
isolated rural parts of the Philippines, and she became the driving force for the creation of
numerous pediatric hospitals throughout the nation.

Escuro, Pedro B.
 a Filipino scientist who is considered as the “Father of Philippine Rice Breeding
Program”.
 Dr. Escuro has significantly contributed to the breeding of rice, as a plant breeder,
professor, extension agent, and consultant for agricultural initiatives and leads the
improvement, segregation, and release of nine Seed Board rice selections.

Campos, Paulo C
 Dr. Campos is a physician and educator, he is renowned for his work in the fields of
nuclear medicine and community health promotion. He has been dubbed "The Father of
Nuclear Medicine in the Philippines" for these accomplishments.
 He is credited for establishing the first and best known Radioisotope Laboratory in the
country, the first Research Laboratory in the Department of Medicine, University of the
Philippines and the Thyroid Clinic of the UP-PGH Medical Center.

Eduardo Quisumbing
 A foremost botanist and Filipino scientist who received the National Scientist award in
1980, leading to authority of plants in the Philippines
 His book Medicinal Plants in Philippines is the forerunner of all researches on medicinal
plants in the country and there are more than 129 scientific articles written by him were
published locally and internationally.
