Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
As an educator it is important to demonstrate the ability to enhance academic performance and
support for implementation of the school districts student achievement goals by working with other
staff and building and district leadership in analysis of student progress.
This is achieved by using our team meeting days to look at student progress and collaborate with
other professionals about what next step to advance towards next. In our team meeting we talk
about and look at student IEP progress and we look at GOLD data for all students. Those students
who are falling outside of their colorbands are students that we talk about and make decisions about
general education interventions.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better):
Working with staff in order to discuss our progress monitoring data is helpful because it allows us to
compare where our students are next to students in other classrooms. It is also helpful to have our
AEA staff available to answer questions and help problem solve when I am stuck on where to go
next with a struggling student.
