Week of April 13-17

April Break will be from April 20 - 24! We hope that you have some time to
relax and do something fun! It looks like spring is finally here.
You can still help us collect bottles and cans for the Clynk competition
through Hannaford until April 20! Please contact the school office for
details.
Do not hesitate to contact us with comments or questions. You can call the
school (778-3529), send in a note, or e-mail us (kmartin@mtbluersd.org or
dpinkham@mtbluersd.org).
Math: We are working on a new unit that focuses on addition and subtraction through 200 as
well as word problems through 100. We will focus on mostly subtraction strategies for this
week. We will continue to practice subtracting two-digit numbers from two-digit numbers with
and without unbundling. Unbundling is what we used to call borrowing! We will then practice
subtracting two-digit numbers from three digit numbers with and without unbundling. See
below for examples. !

learning how to read for deeper meaning. Some of the books that we are reading are:
Moonwalk, Snot Stew, Dolphin Dreaming, and Elmer and the Dragon.
