Accelerated Reader
Your child may begin taking Accelerated Reader (AR) tests next week. In the Weekly Work
Folder, you will find your childs AR goal for the semester. Your child may simply tell me
when he or she is ready to test over a book, or you may send me a note. You will also find in
the Weekly Work Folder, the results of your childs STAR test. This test shows your childs
current reading level (ZPD) indicating the level of book that your child should read for AR.

Individual school pictures will
be made on Wednesday,
September 16. Your child
should wear his or her school
uniform for this picture.
