Uniform
Please could I remind parents that children need to come to school in black shoes not
trainers. Also headscarfs need to be black, grey or navy blue in colour without patterns.
Collecting Children from year 3, 4, 5 & 6
For health and safety reasons when collecting your child at the end of the day please could
you stand at the top of the steps and your child will be sent out to you. Teachers would also
appreciate it if you could not look through the classroom windows. We are having individual
notice boards for each class by the top steps. Should you wish to speak to a teacher then
please ring the office on 01274 771124 before you pick up your child and they will be very
happy to listen and speak with you.
Fundraising
Children, staff and parents have been raising a lot of money for charity this half term.
Farm Africa (welly walk) raised 67.35
McMillan Coffee Morning raised 179.00
Children in Need raised 292.00 (59.00 of this was for the sale of merchandise)
So thats a big THANK YOU to everyone.
Staff leaving
Two members of staff are leaving us this half term. Mrs Verity, who has been with us for 20
years! She is leaving us to look after her grandchildren as her daughter returns to work full
time. We will really miss Mrs Verity as she has worked extremely hard for your children and
parents. We have a lot to thank her for as she has certainly left her mark on the school.
Mr Mayoh, our Computing Leader is leaving to go and work in Cairo. We wish him all the best
in his next role and thank him for teaching children from nursery to Year 6.
Pantomime
We have managed to get tickets for children to go to the pantomime to see Jack and the
Beanstalk at the Alhambra on Wednesday 6th January. We think that our children work
fantastically hard, behave brilliantly and would like to treat them to this event which is
therefore free. This is early notice as we probably wont be back in school until 4:45pm.
There will be no after school clubs on this day (Football and Chess).

Milk Money
If your child is in year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 and you would like them to have milk, the cost for the
next term (January to March) is 8.50. Please pay at the school office.
Diary Writing Prize
Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 are being asked to write their diary over the holiday. It can be about what
they are actually doing or about a character from a book or their thoughts about a TV
programme or film etc. Every child in KS2 will be expected to do this enjoyable piece of
work with a prize for one child from each class who has shown that they have tried very
hard.

I would like to thank you for working with and supporting your child. We have had a brilliant
term with so many good things said about your children and the work they do. One class has
achieved 99.6% attendance for the week, this must be the best in Bradford!
Have a wonderful break with your children. School re-opens on Monday 4th January 2016.
