Religion: We are read about Mary this week. We

are working on the unit review. Vincent was our
prayer leader.
Reading: We are reviewing synonyms and
antonyms. We are working with the hard and soft
consonant sounds of the letters c and g. We are
reviewing writing sentences properly.
Math: This week we are practicing solving 2 digit
addition and subtraction problems. We used
problem solving skills to find the answers to word
problems. We reviewed using the <, >, and =
signs when comparing 2 numbers.

Reminders
*No school on Monday, Memorial Day.
*Send Flat Stanley letters and photos
to school as soon as you get them.
*We will be finishing our dinosaur unit
next week. There will be a special
activity to wrap up the unit.

Science: We are reading and writing about matter.

We are learning about the properties of matter.
Dinosaur Unit: We are learning about dinosaur
diets, the shape of their teeth and location of their
eyes on their heads. We watched another short
video from Discovery Education. We are working
on a timeline using the information and pictures
from this weeks homework assignment.
Social Studies: We presented our Famous Places
in Chicago projects. Each student did a great job
telling about the place he/she visited. We are read
about voting and the history of our flag.

Flat Stanley
The emails, letters, and
photos are arriving daily.
So far Stanley has visited
two places in the United
States. We received an
email and photos from
Detroit, Michigan.
Nayah brought in a
letter with photos from
Colorado Springs,
Colorado.
