Supervisor name : Dr. Mohamed Saeed Alsarhani
Subject idea : Closed study of the subject of what the western scientists write a bout Islam and
Muslims to disclose the advantage and disadvantage of what they write.
Goal of the study : to enhance the knowledge and conscience of Muslims of what is written of
them and what is plotted against them.
The research subject :
Studding and analyzing the known and important reports of Rand corporation of the Islamic
world.
The plan of the reseach : the research is composed of : introduction , preface, four parts and
conclusion.
In the introduction I stressed on the significance of the topic and the reasons to select it .
In the preface section : I explained the history of the research center of western countries and
its importance and it is relationship to orientalism as well as with the western political decision
.
In the first part I discussed the history of Rand Co. and its importance and its report which is
the core of Study. In the second part I discussed the idea of the report of the Quran and the
prophet Suna. The third part was about the position
Of the report about the contemporary Muslim society. In the third part I discussed the
strategies suggested by the report and its impact on Muslims status. In the conclusion part I
indicated the most important results and recommendations.
Important results :
- The current western research centers which take care of Islamic world is only a development
of a traditional orienalism .
- Although Rand Co. seems independent and objective but it is considered as one of the
biggest American research centers and most closed and related to American political decision.
- The Rand Co. report is not objective and fair. But it also offended the Quran , Suna, and the
Muslim Society.
- The danger of the strategy recommended by the report , specifically the strategy concerned
supporting the modernist that is reliable to modernize Islam.
Important recommendations :
- Stressing and financially and morally supporting the future studies .
- Studying and analyzing the western researches and preparing a scientific and professional
program to refute what is mentioned in them.
- Refute of the western negative ideas about Islam through the media programs
