III. Procedures:
1. Using a medicine dropper, place a drop of pond water on a glass slide. Carefully place the cover slip on top of the
pond water.
2. Then placed the glass slide on the microscope stage.
3. Use high power to observe the pond water. Move the slide, as necessary, to inspect the entire drop of pond water.
4. Make a drawing of the first thing you observe that appears to be alive.
5. Draw other objects you think might be classified as living.
6. Make a list of properties of these organisms that you have observed in the pond water.
