Threatened lives
Nowadays we are aware of some wildlife species are in danger of extinction. In order to
find a solution, social organizations and governments are working together.
One of the main problems that threaten our environment is air pollution. It contributes
to global warming and the melting of the polar ice caps, which causes the destruction of
many animal’s habitats.
Some people claim that the protection of wild animals deserve to be in the spotlight too.
For example, they argue that wild animals help to keep a balanced ecosystem and if they
are still being hunted like now we end up tearing down our environment.
In my opinion we have to educate young people not to throw away garbage in the nature
and start recycling more. However, is important to be conscious that we shouldn’t buy
leather or fur, there are other materials, as well as other stuff not tested on animals, like
makeup.
We need to preserve animals and plants at their best if we want to continue enjoying our
lives.

Part 2
Report on leisure facilities in my town
Introduction
The aim of this report is to outline what young people do in my area in their free time,
what kind of leisure facilities they need and how we can improve those spaces and
equipment.
Leisure activities
My town is big enough to have a cinema or a shopping centre which is great to our
young people, but sometimes it seems like we would require to update transport with
the aim to facilitate their movements.
On the other hand, many young people spend their free time on the beach and the
surroundings so we should focus on provide them gigs and festivals in order to maintain
this coming and going during the year.
Other facilities
Many young people complained about the lack of a sport centre. In or city is easy to see
people playing basketball or volleyball in the street so a sport centre would encourage
people to work out and improve their social live.
Recommendations
I suggest that our local government should ask directly to young people what are their
needs via internet or some kind of survey.
Todo seguía igual. Despertó en la misma habitación en la que había intentado vivir durante los
últimos meses. La misma habitación con los mismos muebles. Con el mismo silencio. Se quedó
mirando el techo durante un rato. Escuchó el murmullo del televisor como un eco lejano.
Piensa que debió dejársela encendida. Sigue pensando. Se recuesta sobre el lado derecho.
Observa la mesita de noche. Dos cajones. Color oscuro. Una lámpara pequeña, pero que
cumple su función.
