Science Month Celebration 2019

Science Spectacular Week 1 (September 3-6, 2019)

 Science Investigatory Project ( Open for all Grade 8- 10 students)

Science Spectacular Week 2 (September 9-13, 2019)

 Racket Ship and Science Magic Competition (Open for all Grade 7-12 students)

Racket Ship Competition Schedule:

Monday (September 9, 2019): Classroom Based Competition during Science Class (First Round)
Thursday (September 12, 2019): Final Round Competition, BNHS Gymnasium (4:00-5:00 pm)

Science Magic Competition Schedule:

Tuesday (September 10, 2019): Classroom Based Competition during Science Class (First Round)
Friday (September 13, 2019): Final Round Competition, BNHS Gymnasium (4:00-5:00 pm)

Science Spectacular Week 3 (September 18, 2019)

 Environmental Advocacy: Katok, Kalap, Kalakal (Open for every sections)


 The amount of junk materials to be sold out will be given to Science Department and sections for
classroom improvements.
 Less than 1000.00 amount of junk materials- 10 % for classroom improvements
 1000.00 and above- 30% for classroom improvements
 Each section is required to have one or two pairs (muse and escort) for the competition of G.
and Bb. Agham 2019. Only those muses & escorts who are included in the Top 10 (based on the
amount of junk materials to be sold out) will compete on the Search for G. and Bb. Agham 2019
Pageant. (See the other details on the next page)

Science Spectacular Week 4

 Culminating Activity (September 27, 2019)

 Income Generating Project (Soap Making, Dishwashing, and Candle Making, 8:00 am)

 Jingle Making Contest (Open for all Grade 7-10)

o The jingle must be an original composition highlighting the theme: Reinventing the Future: “Advancing
Communities through Science.”
o Participants can adapt tune, but they need to change the lyrics.
o There shall be a minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 performers.
o The duration of the jingle should be at least 3 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes
o Accompaniment of musical instrument is allowed

Criteria for judging are as follows:

o Originality: 30%
o Melody: 20%
o Timing: 30%
o Voice Quality: 10%
o Costume/Attire/Props: 10%
o Total: 100%
 Interpretative Dance Competition (Open for all Senior High School Students)

o There shall be a minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 performers.


o Each entry will use interpretative music entitled Anak ng Pasig by Geneva Cruz
o Narration is strictly not allowed. This competition is designed for each entry to tell a story revolving
around the theme through dancing.
o Coaching during performance is not allowed.
o No dangerous props/ stunts allowed
o The performance shall not exceed seven (7) minutes but not less than five (5) minutes; this includes the
actual performance, entrance and exit of dancers, setting up of props and the like. Deduction: less 5pts
for every violation.

Criteria for judging are as follows:

o Choreography and Creativity- 10%


o Execution and Projection- 20%
o Coordination and Synchronization: 20%
o Stage Presence: 20%
o Costume/Attire/Props: 10%
o Total: 100%

 Search for G.at Bb. Agham 2019

1. The pageant will be participated by the high school students (Junior and Senior), one or two pairs from each grade
level.
2. They will compete for the following titles:

G. at Bb.Teknolohiya
Mr.and Ms.Photogenic
G. at Bb. Makakalikasan
Mr.and Ms. Trashion Model
3rd, 2nd, 1st Runner Up
G. at Bb. Agham 2019

 G. at Bb.Teknolohiya will be judge according to the total number of wow reactions they get in facebook. The
wow reaction in facebook will start on September 20, 2019 6:00 pm to September 25, 2019.

 Mr.and Ms.Photogenic will be chosen by the judges using their pictures on September 27, 2019.

a. Wear Green Plain Shirt paired with Denim Jeans (Male/Female)


b. Wear 3 inches High-heeled closed shoes for Female and Sneakers shoes for Male
c. Female Contestants please come with make-up

 G. at Bb. Makakalikasan will be ranked according to the amount of materials they brought in school to be sold
out.

 Mr. and Ms. Trashion Model provide a platform for creative and talented students to express their appreciation
and support for our clean and green environment through the 3R’s ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.’ Only those
Muses and Escorts who are included in the Top 10 (based on the amount of materials to be sold out) will
compete for Mr. and Ms. Trashion Model title. Through their artistic flair, they would create new outfits out of
recycled materials found inside the school campus like papers, plastic bottles, paper cups, carton, box, straws,
sticks, sack, plastic spoon, junk food wrappers, glitters, wire, styro, and paint. It also serves to spread the
environmentally-friendly message and encourage everyone to safeguard, nurture and cherish our environment.

 Rented costume is strictly not allowed.


 Every representative will not be permitted to make their costume outside the school.
 Other people inside the school are not allowed to help
 The highest rank will get the Mr. and Ms. Trashion Model title.

 Creativity: 40%
 Visual Presentation: 20%
 Stage Presence: 10%
 Total: 100%

They will be ranked accordingly will the following criteria:
