I. INTRODUKSYON
II. METODOLOHIYA
Noong 1796 nilinis ang kagubatan nina Don Angel Pantaleon Miranda at Dona
Rosalia de Jesus, mga kilalang pamilya mula sa San Fernando.Inumpisahan ang paglilinis
ng Culiat , kasama ang kanilang mga nangungupahan ng lupa at tagasunod (inquilinos at
casamajanes) upang makahanap ng bagong matitirahan, at para mapagtamnan ng asukal
at palay.3Pagkatapos ng paglilinis ng magubat na lugar ng Culiat, walang sinayang na
panahon si Don Angel at ang mga residente sa pagtatayo ng mga pangunahing mga
istruktura para sa pagtatatag ng mga pormal na pamayanan ,gaya ng eskwelahan, bahay
ng Husgado at ng kapilya na may kumbento 4. Kung kaya’t itinayo ang ang unang kapilya
ng bayan ng Culiat nina Don Angel Panteleon De Miranda taong 1812 5. Kalaunan
binigyan ito ng kalayaang pastoral ,ayon sa Act Of Santa Visita del Lubao noong ika 29
ng Abril dahil sa kalayuan nito mula sa kaniyang matriz, San Fernando6.
Sa ika-8 na araw ng buwan ng Disyembre sa taong 1829, humiwalay ang ang
barrio ng Culiat mula sa Munacipalidad ng San Fernando, at binigyan ito ng bagong
pangalan na Angeles bilang karanglan sa tagapagtatag nito na si Don Angel Pantaleon

de Miranda, at ng mga banal na patron na “Los Santos Angeles Custodios”7. Sa
parehong taon humilaway din ang Parroquia de Culiat mula sa administratibong
pamahahala ng San Fernando at pormal na tinanggap ng mga Augustinong misyonero
bilang bahagi ng kanilang ministeryo. 8
Sa taong 1834, ang orihinal na santuwaryo ay pinalitan ng isang mas malaking
simbahan sapagkat ito ay napakaliit upang tumanggap ng lumalaking bilang ng mga
naninirahan; samakatuwid, ang pangalan na Pisamban Maragul ay tila tumutukoy sa
pagtatayo ng isang mas malaking istraktura9. Ayon sa tala ni Mallat (1846) ang pueblo
ng Angeles ay may …3, 640 na naninirahan residente 10. Lumaki nang mabilis ang
populasyon ng Angeles, noong 1848 , na humating sa bilang na 4,695 11
Nagpatuloy ang mga pagkukumpuni nito, noong taong 1855, may nailathalang datos,
kung saan nakalahad ang mga ginastos sa pagpapakumpuni ng simbahan,upang
matustusan ang pagpapagawa at pagpapalawak nito, nang-utang ang Parokya ng
angeles mula sa mga pondo ng ibang Parokya ng walang interes 12

At noong Ika-25 ng Abril sa sulat ni Padre Merino ang inilahad niya
kahalagahan na maitayo ang simbahan para sa mga Angeleno, dahil dito binigyang
katuwiran niya pagkuha ng tulong mga polista:
“report concerning the reconstruction of the parish church, I
must say to V. E. that it is of absolute necessity, because to do
so is the congregation of the Angels, without the church the
Gift of the divine office cannot be celebrated with the due
propriety; and therefore I do not find it inconvenient that V. E.
to approve the Project of the works they accompany, having
regard to the favorable report issued by the general
Inspectorate of public Works. With respect to the help of
polists, I believe just the request of the parish priest to expose
,since it is a public building that cannot be thought of and has
recognized the utility and necessity of the same people and
that the Church of Angels has already exhausted all its
resources in the works of it.”18

C. Mga pagbabagong naganap sa ilalim ng Polo y Servicio sa Pisamban
Maragul
D. Konklusyon
Mayaman ang kasaysayan ng Pisambang Maragul, kalakip na dito ang madaming pagbabagong
naganap sa simbahan, madaming proseso itong napagdaanan , mula sa pagiging kapilya nito
hanggang sa pagsasarili nito sabay ng paghiwalay ng pueblo ng Angeles mula sa San Fernando.
Sunod- sunod ang mga naganap na pagkukumpuni sa simbahan upang magpatuloy na
mapaunlakan ang dumadaming populasyon ng Angeles para sa ispirituwal na pangangailangan
ng mga Angeleno, dahil dito sinikap ng mga residente na mabuo ang kasalukuyang estraktura
ng simbahan na yari sa bato, na ngayon tinatawag ng Holy Rosary Parish o Pisamban Maragul
dahil kalakihan nito na nagsisilbing katangi-tanging palatandaan na nasa sentro ng siyudad ng
Angeles. Mahalaga ang pagtalakay nito dahil mula sa pahihirap, pagsusumikap at pagtutulungan
ng polistang angeleno at ng mga normal na mamayan ng Angeles ay nabuo ang Simbahan.
Nasalamin sa pagpapatayo ng simabahn ang pagtutulungan at pagbibigayan ng mga Angeleno.
Ang pag-aaral na ito ay nangangailangan pa ng mas malalim na pananaliksik hinggil sa kung
sino-sino ang mga naitalagang mga Polista, at kanilang bilang sa buong panahon na sumailalim
ang Simbahan sa Polo y Servicio at kung ano ang naging kondisyon ng simbahan sa panahon ng
kanilang pagtratrabaho dito.

Demonstration of the accuracy of the cargo accounts and Data from the parish of
Angels during the time it was unpacked for Fr. Guillermo Masnou that is from
1855 to the end of January 1877.

This demonstration has made necessary the necessity of justifying the F.
Guillermo Masnou, of the doubt that on the exactitude of accounts of the parish of
Angels, manifested to him the current parish priest P. Ramon Larrionan dia, in a
letter signed by him and dated 8 February 1879 and that copied to the tetra in the
concession to this matter says so:
I have to communicate something serious. This is the case that only 18007 pp
from parochial works as a loan are loaded in the cargo and Data Book of this
parish. and the receipts (libalos) and the creditor parishes import 21,007 pp so it is
hard that 3000 pp are missing. Details of the amounts taken according to receipts.
"I thought it opportune to bring the rest to V.'s attention for his government.”

Sanggunian: Ibeas, Pedro. Letter of Father Pedro Ibeas. Errecion de los Pueblos 1784-1892.
Brother Pedro Ybeas, Augustinian religious and pastor of Angels in La Pampanga, with a
card of unlike class no.192, issued by the Public Finance Administration of this province,
majestically to V. E. and cupone; that the Church of this people is unfinished, but in a fairly
advanced state, lacking much of the quizame; table floor, altarpieces and painting with him;
having raised with the help of the people and other pious persons from the foundations;
increasing the amount given since the beginning to more than twenty-five thousand. It is to be
noted, that in the last diocesan visits I decree, that the use of the foundations of the church in
works of it is not mistaken, until the Dec organism that I own with other parishes was paid in
full;but state on very bad condition the early church, the Construction of the present year was
given beginning the year one thousand eight hundred seventy-seven with the donations of
congratulations, and the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Eighty-Four, The Excellency
Archbishop. the Most reverend Lord Archbishop deceased (L. E. P. D.) agreed willingly are his
words; to invest the inns of the parish on the continuation of the church; this license ended the
eighty and ninth year; and his Excellency Vicar capitular (vacant see) decree on October 21 of 90
that is deployed to four hundred pesos to pay the debt that my predecessor had this parish.
Fulfilling this and covering the attention of the worship and repair of the necessary spring, there
will be some surplus, that I would like to invest in the continuation of the work of the so often
repeated and the church, because I think that with this and the silos of the parishioners, who are
encouraged by the best wishes, could end in the space of four years. In the light of what I have
stated: I beg and pray that you will grant me the license I request to invent this remnant in the
construction of the work, digma of the great one of our God and denor The gratuitous one that I
do not doubt deserves the acknowledgment of goodness and they Of V. E. Y., whose important

Fr Juan Merino religious Augustinian and pastor of Angels in Pampanga with all due
respect to you. I present myself thinking that I have found in this parish more than a model of
miniature wood of which I have been told. Antecessor as a plane for the building of the ...
church, and not believing that enough ... ask. .. worked by an artist; and desecrated ... this work is
being carried out under a well-thought-out, erect plan. Engineer civill Antonio De la Camarra
which after you have measured and ...the assemblage of the works echos has formed the one that

Archbishop of this archdiocese; I also need the civil approval, and the people to fast in order to
carry out the work begun. I ask you to take me for a present and, aware of everything and
presumes the formalities and urgent governmental instructions to approve this project, to grant
every year four polists for each head of barangay for the duration of the work

“the title of Fr. Don Juan Sablan shows that he has been the first chaplain, but after
seeing me presented asking for separation, and total independence, V. T. T in consideration of
the remarkable distance, that there is from where to s. Fernando issued my favor a decree in
Lubao the following Act Santa Visita del lubao 29, April 1812. We should not separate parishes
without cause, and being one of the distances, we come in to prepare, and independent
