    GUIDELINES/MECHANICS

    1. The competition for Junior’s Division is for Grades 7, 8, and 9. For the Senior’s Division is for
    Grades 10, 11, and 12.
    2. The group shall be composed of 30 – 40 participants.
    3. The first syllable/word uttered signals the start of the presentation, and the last syllable/word
    determines the end of the performance.
    4. The time element of the contest shall be 3 – 5 minutes.
    5. Succeeding time will mean deduction from the group’s total score.
    6. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
    *Repetition of words is allowed. However, major revisions (e.g. revising/constructing another
    sentence) with the piece is NOT ALLOWED.

    CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

    DELIVERY

    (Voice, Enunciation, Clarity) - 40%

    CHOREOGRAPHY

    (Creativity, Style, Variety of Movements) - 30%

    MASTERY - 20%

    OVER ALL IMPACT

    (Audience Impact, Props/Costumes) - 10%

    TOTAL - 100%
