A Lesson Plan in Earth and Space Grade 7

I. Objective:
At the end of the 60-minute session, the learners are expected to:
a. Describe the location of the Philippines with respect to the surrounding
landmasses and bodies of water accurately.

II. Subject Matter


Competency(ies) : Describe the location of the Philippines with respect to the
continents and oceans of the world.

b. What do you think is the importance of knowing our Philippine territory?
Lesson Proper (30 minutes):
1. The students will be grouped into five, using a world map as reference, label
the blank map with landmasses and body of water.

2. The students will label the map previously showed by the teacher and discuss
it to the class.
3. The students will be able to discuss the importance of the location of the
Philippines with regards to its social, economic, race and climate.

Direction: In a one half sheet of paper the students will answer:


What is your stand in relation to the claims of China regarding Scarborough Shoal in
the Philippines?
