NARRATIVE REPORT ON 1st HOMEROOM PARENT-TEACHER

To commit to the improvement of our learners is to give importance to

their progress. Last June 14, 2019 at 1:00 in the afternoon, Mataasnakahoy
Senior High School conducted the 1st Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) at the
VSR Building. Mrs. Rhodora L. Capistrano, the school principal, gave a brief
welcome message to the parents and teachers. They emphasized that the
involvement of the parents to the curricular activities as such and their support
to the projects of the school for the welfare of the students are greatly
appreciated. During the conference, the school policies, parent’s role in school
and updates on the new school and P.E uniform were also discussed. Also, Mr.
Simeon L. De Torres, Master Teacher I, lead a raffle that made the assembly
more fun for the parents.
After the general meeting, the parents proceed to the homeroom advisers
of their children in their respective classrooms for the 1st Homeroom Parent-
Teacher Conference (PTA Meeting). At first, the adviser introduced herself to the
parents so that they will be more comfortable in working together for the welfare
of the their children. She also reiterated the School’s Rules and Regulations for
the students, such as proper wearing of uniform, proper haircut for boys and
hairdressing for girls, and the avoidance of collective absences and excuse
letters for the purpose of having special quizzes and examinations.
And as one of the main objective of the meeting, the members had an
election of officers. The elected officers for Grade 11 TVL-Courage are as follows:
President: Mrs. Edna A. Rubi; Vice President: Mr. Neil Christian Zara; Secretary:
Mrs. Mylene O. Cortez; Treasurer: Mrs. Marilou R. Solis; Auditor: Mrs. Myrene D.
Manigbas; PIO: Mr. Felix Ibo; Business Manager: Mr. Jerus Lubis. Regarding for
the HPTA Project this year, the parents agreed that they will let the students
decide for the upcoming project that will be beneficial for them. They will be
waiting for the updates on this. The meeting has ended with a closing prayer
initiated by Mrs. Edna A. Rubi.
The meeting ended at 4:00 pm.
