Card Pack Activity 1-2 minutes

Procedure:
1. Hold Card pack in your hand facing the student.
2. Put newer phonemes in the front.
3. Ensure a heavy focus on vowels.
You can also focus on student weakness….. Whether it be blends,
clusters, diphthongs,vowel teams etc.
4. Ask student to make ALL sounds the phoneme makes
● Students should give both vowel sounds (long and short).
5. Error Correction: Trace and the sound 3 times and put card back
(about 5 cards behind) in deck so the child will get at least one more
exposure to it.
6. Continue with the remainder of the cards in the pack. Stop at 2
minutes.
7. Mark any errors as they may need to be retaught.
