Annexure I

Offer for Reclamation of Loco Wheels Of Ventra Loco.

DESCRPTION OF THE PROBLEM

Machine : Diesel Locomotive.

Part : Wheels 4 Nos

Primary Problem :

 Severe Wear on wheels & collars.

 Wear is approximately 8 - 10 mm on radius in convex shapes.
 Collar thickness reduced by 12.00mm.
 It has been inspected that the rail tracks condition was found
unsatisfactory & wear & uneven tracks were found at some places.

Secondary Problem :

 Wear in convex form results in poor contact between wheels &

break shoe thus poor breaking, abnormal wear of the break shoe
resulting in frequent replacement of the break shoes.
 Due to convex form of wear wheels at curve tend to move straight
which may result in further collar damage, derailment thus leading
to number of other consequential secondary damages to vital
components of gear box, transmission parts & engine.
 The tendency of worn out wheels to move straight also leads to
rapid wear of the tongue rails & points & crossings of the rail
track.

OUR SCOPE OF WORK ( INSITU REPAIR WITHOUT DISMANTLING

 Removal of bulged material by Grinding.

 Reactivation of surface by grinding.

 DP test to detect crack if any.

 Rebuilding by continuous ENDOTEC process using Special welding
alloy having properties like good compressive strength, no hydrogen
embrittlement, good resistance to wear under compressive load &
better wear resistance specially against break shoe.
 Grinding of unwanted material.
 Final joint inspection of the job.

YOUR SCOPE OF WORK

 Safe storage of our tools & tackles, welding power sources and the
consumables at your sub store near the work site.
 Necessary Electric power supply at working site on free of charge
basis.
 Dismantling & re-assembly of the telescopic shaft & disengage the
wheels from the main gear box .
 Ensure free rotation of the wheel axle.
 Free lodging & boarding facility for our repair crew.

FREE ISSUE ITEM

M/s Ultratech Cement should issue the Loco Wheels for repair as free
issue items to us for the reconditioning in the event of placement of
order.

INSPECTION
Stage / Final inspection is to be carried out at the repair site by your
inspecting official.

DELIVERY / COMPLETION OF THE JOB

We expect to complete the job of in around 6 weeks from the date of
receipt of the confirmed & technically & commercially clear work order.
3 to 5 days after actual taking up of the job at your site.

BUDGETARY PRICE
The Price for the Reclamation of One Loco Wheel of Ventra Loco as per
the scope of Work mentioned above shall be Rs. 95,000/- (Rupees Ninety
Five Thousand Only.)

PERFORMANCE WARRANTY

We will give a warranty period of 01 year for each wheel reconditioned.

During this period we stand that there will be no peel off of weld
material.

PRICE BASIS
Our offer price is exclusive of all taxes, duties and levies, which will be
charged extra to your account at actual as would be applicable at the
time of taking up the job and submission of the bills.

TAXES & DUTIES

Duties & taxes including Service tax (Present rate is @10.3) Work
contract tax/MVAT will be charged extra as applicable at the time of
billing. Statutory variation in the rate of all taxes, duties and levies etc.
or imposition of new taxes, duties, levies etc. beyond the date of this offer
due to Government Notification or enactment or by virtue of different
interpretation by assessing authorities for which we are liable to pay any
taxes, duties, levies etc on this contract, will be to your account.

PAYMENT
20% advance & 80% balance against successful completion of the job.

ARBITRATION
Our liability is restricted to weld deposit only. We shall not be
responsible / liable for any other type of damage /loss such as
consequential, proximate or liquidation damages arising out of non-
performance.

FORCE MAJEURE
For the purpose of delivery clause, force majeure condition shall mean
and include any circumstances and occurrences beyond the reasonable
control of the company and/or its sub-suppliers which hinder the
execution of its duties, as for e.g. mobilization, war and war-like
conditions (irrespective of whether war has been declared or not), revolts,
rebellions, sabotage, strike (declared or undeclared), lockouts, other
labour disputes, natural disasters, fire, flood or unforeseeable
circumstances, or epidemics, hindrances and delay in transportation, all
acts of God, State (Central or Provincials, breakdown of essential
machinery and equipment, delay in availability of essential raw
materials, non-availability of wagon/shipping specs. etc. Hence we shall
not be responsible for the any delay in delivery of the finished component
due to reasons above stated which are beyond our control.

VALIDITY
Our offer shall remain valid for 30 days subject to our written
confirmation thereafter.

We reserve the right to execute the work through any of our authorized
vendor under our supervision.

same in the TDS certificate to be issued. You are requested to kindly
issue the TDS certificate within one month after deductions from our
payment.
