FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, DELHI

UNIVERSITY

SOP
I was to a middle-class family. Since childhood, I was told that studying meticulously and
pursuing a secure job is the only means to success .However, magnanimous business
houses and industrialists always grasped my attention. Soon after beginning my graduation
career I came across a problem that we students, often face. To solve this problem I needed
some sort of basic training in entrepreneurship. Subsequently, I took an online course in
Entrepreneurship from Startup India (Skill India). There I realized I was actually far more
comfortable and good at this rather than engineering and all other fields. I wanted to study
the things in details that we were taught in a nutshell.

I started my preparation for CAT. This was one of the turning points in my life. I was always
good at numbers and loved to solve puzzles. But, this preparation changed my thought
process and approach towards problems drastically. EarliGOAr I thought conventional ways
are the best ways to solve a problem but here I learned how problems can be solved in
unconventional ways. And many of the times the latter was far more efficient and time-
saving.

I particularly have an inclination for finance due to my interests in mathematics and

economics. An MBA would offer me the chance to harness my engineering knowledge and
analytical skills and put it in the proper perspective to devise and implement solutions to
real-life business problems.

CAREER GOALS
My goal is to place myself in a company where I can expand my knowledge and augment
the skills what I have so far and those that I will be gaining in MBA. I should be able to
contribute to the growth of the company. In the long term, I want to do social-
entrepreneurship and try to solve a few of the problems that our society faces today.

EXTRA-CURRICULARS
My extra-curricular activities include the study of foreign languages especially oriental
(Japanese, Chinese etc.). I also love to study Hindu religious texts and its interpretations. I
am fond of recitation and passed the fourth year in Bengali recitation from "Bangiya
Sangeet Parishad".
