ARTS (QUARTER I)
In the past lesson you have learned that throughout human history, colors,
lines and shapes has been the reflection of human life in the community,
society and the world. Group of artist who agree on general principles reflect
their artworks with world events and global trends.
You have already learned form your lessons in the lower years that the arts
of the earlier period had a quite set pattern regarding to the style, technique
and treatment of their subjects. But with the gradual improvement of the
world, impressionists and expressionists sent their ideas and emotions in
fearless, modern ways. These art movements were known as
impressionism, fauvism, cubism, futurism, expressionism, dadaism,
surrealism, abstract expressionism, pop art and optical art. These art
movements of the late 19th century to the 20th century were described by this
qoute “The impulse of modern art was its desire to destroy beauty” (Barnett
Newmann). Do you agree? Let us go deeper and wider to the value of modern
art.

design an advertisement to be placed in a billboard. As a modern artist,
