Lesson The arts in Computer Generated Images and Handheld Mobile Devices

Objectives At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to


 identify art elements in the technology-based production arts using handheld devices and other computer-generated
images
 identify distinct characteristics of arts during in the 21st century in terms of production and functionality/range of
audience reach
 realize that technology is an effective and vibrant tool for empowering a person to express their ideas, goals and
advocacies that elicits immediate action;
 determine the role or function of artworks by evaluating their utilization and combination of art elements and principles;
and
 describe the influence of technology in the 21st century on the evolutionary various forms of art

Learner’s Materials used:
Textbook pp.
Procedure Presentation of Essential Questions: Draw in front of the class an image using a handheld device (Pad or android tablet) and a
downloaded application from the internet (This should be projected on a bigger screen.)
Ask the students: Is this an art? What makes an art authentic? When is art an art of the twenty first-century environment? Ask
the students to closely look at the computer-drawn image. Do you think it is a successful work of art? Why?

Development of the Lesson: Begin by having students brainstorm

a list of things that they think they know about phone art and other computer-generated images
Show the class the video lesson on how to create vector art using mobile phone
- What are your thoughts about the video? List them all. Collect the students' lists and hang on to them until later in this
Unit study

Using an electronic presentation like PowerPoint or Keynote, etc. Give a general overview of the concepts of phone art and
other computer generated images based on Lesson Focus on the following topics The Arts in Mobile Phone, Computer
Generated Images. and The Information Graphics.

Let the students go back to their list of thoughts and compare their responses based on the video clips that they have watched
Highlight how Filipinos nowadays are being influenced with the fast development of technology based arts
