Through Technology (Introduction)


Date: October 22, 2014
OBJECTIVES:
a. Discuss the extent on how people can connect with different personalities through technology.

SUBJECT MATTER: Through Technology ( Introduction)


Strategies/ Techniques: collaborative learning, recitation, board work, group sharing
Instructional Materials: chalk and board, pictures of cellphones and telephones glued on a bond paper
Reference  A Journey Through Anglo- American Literature
Materials/Sources:

LEARNING PROCEDURE:
Review of the Previous  Review the test results and go over the questions and do a quick
Lesson: reinforcement discussion.
Motivation:  Show pictures of cellphones and telephones and have them share its
important uses while listing it down on the board.
Lesson Proper:
 Present the day’s objectives.
 Introduce the main lesson about linking together and breaking barriers.
 To facilitate the discussion, use the answers on the board to explain further how linking together and
breaking barriers can be achieved.
Activity/ies:
 With their assigned take home task, students work in pairs to do Task 2 question 1- Linking Together.
Closure:
 How has technology allowed people to connect to the rest of the world even without traveling?

END- OF- DAY EVALUATION/ASSESSMENTS:


 On the worksheet, draw lines to connect the words with the synonymous words.

ASSIGNMENT/EXTENSION ACTIVITIES:
 Inform the students in advance that they will be reading a text: Students Should Not Be Allowed To Bring
Mobile Phones To School. Students will write a brief entry about their reactions of the title.
