LEARNING PROCEDURE:
Review of the Previous What are the 5 simple steps that need to be considered when extracting
Lesson: information from a reading material?
Motivation: What kinds of drama/play do the students love to listen to? What literary
genres do each of the students like to watch or read?
Lesson Proper:
Present the day’s objectives.
Introduce the lesson on one-act play. (A one-act play is a play that has only one act, as distinct from plays
that occur over several acts. One-act plays may consist of one or more scenes. In recent years,[when?] the
10-minute play known as "flash drama" has emerged as a popular sub-genre of the one-act play,
especially in writing competitions.)
Play the taped audio of a sample one act play and have the students listen and read the text silently and
simultaneously.
Inform the students to pay attention to the features of the one- act radio play:
- delivery of lines, tone of voice and the sound effects
Activity/ies:
Group students to accomplish Task 10- Delving Deeper.
Closure:
How important is each feature in the development or quality of the play?
ASSIGNMENT/EXTENSION ACTIVITIES:
Study the following vowel sounds and copy examples of words that produce each sound- e, a, æ, ɛ
