IV. Katuturan ng Kurso

Ang Kursong ito ay inihanda upang matugunan ang pangangailangang pagbabago sa edukasyon. Masusing pamili ng mga
may-akda ng mga paksang makapasusulong ng kognitibo, epektibo at psychomotor sa kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral.

V. Mga Layunin:
1. Natatalakay ang kahalagahan ng pagbabasa, lalo na sa iba’t ibang disiplina.
2. Naipapaliwanang ang iba’t ibang proseso ng pagbasa.
3. Masasabi ang kahulugan at kalikasan ng mga Tekstong ekspositori.
4. Napaghahambing ang organisasyon o istruktero ng bawat uri ng tekstong ekspositori.
5. Nasusuri ang mga nilalaman at register ng mga teksto sa iba’t ibang disiplina.
6. Nakapaglalahad ng mga Varayti ng Wika sa iba’t ibang disiplina na ginamit sa bawat tekstong binasa.
7. Nagagamit sa pagpapahayag ang mga varayti ng wika sa bawat disiplina.
8. Nabibigyang pagpapahalaga ang kalikasan ng Wikang Filipino sa pamamagitan ng pagbabasa ng mga teksto sa iba’t ibang
disiplina.

IV. Course Description:

Alternative Learning System – Alternative Certificates of learning for out of school youth and adult –
Filipino aged – 15 –years old and above who are unable to avail of the formal school system on who have dropped
out of formal Elementary or Secondary Education.

V. Objective:
1. To provide a system for assessing levels of literary and other non-formal learning achievement.
2. To provide the framework for the governance of basic education which shall set the general directions
for educational policies and standards and establish authority, accountability and responsibility for
achieving higher learning outcomes.
3. To establish schools and learning members, centers, and other facilities, school children are able to
learn a range of core competiveness prescribed for elementary and secondary school program or where
the out-of-school youth and adult learners are provided alternative learning programs and received
accreditation for at least the equivalent of an elementary or a high school education.
