9: 20 –Malvar ; 10:20-Mabini;
12:00- Aguinaldo

I.OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the images formed by the different
types of mirrors and lenses

B. Performance Standards

C. Learning At the end of the lesson , the learners predict the qualitative characteristics formed
Competencies/Objectives by plane and curved mirrors and lenses
 . Define Reflection
 Differentiate regular and diffused reflection
 Give the importance of the two kinds of reflection

II. CONTENT
Reflection of light and it’s kind
III. LEARNING RESOURCES
A. References
1.TG pages
2.LM pages pp.180-181
3.LG pages
4.Textbook pages PHYSICS :Science and Technology IV pp.24-25
B.Other Learning Resources Slide deck,
IV. PROCEDURES What method
did you use?
A. ELICIT

Explain the pictures.Apply what you learned from yesterday’s discussion.

B. ENGAGE Acivity 1: Comparing the pictures

Compare the two illustration.

C.EXPLORE Activity 2: Video Presentation about Reflection and the kinds of reflection

Guide Questions:
1.How did the boy solve the situation? What principle/concept is applied?
2.Give the meaning of the following terms:
D. EXPLAIN
E. ELABORATE
a. incident ray and reflected ray b. point of incidence and normal line
c. angle of incidence and angle of reflection
3.Illustrate the laws of reflection and label the parts.

Generalization :
1. . What is reflection?
2. State the two Laws of Reflection
Application:
Cite at least 3 applications of Laws of Reflection?

1. A ray of light hits a surface at 20˚, what is angle of reflection?

F. EVALUATE 2. The angle of reflection is 60 ˚, What is the measure of the angle between the incident
ray and reflected ray?
3.A ray of light is incident on a plane mirror creates 55 ˚ between the incident ray and
the reflected ray . Applying the Law of reflection , calculate the angle between the
incident ray and the normal.

G.EXTEND Bring the following by group:

2 identical plane mirrors
Laser/pen light/ flashlight
Protractor
Ruler
Hard cardboard/used illustration board ,scotch tape , scissor

V.REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION

evaluation
Did the remedial lesson work? No of
learners who have caught up with the
lesson.
Which of my teaching strategies worked
well? Why did these work?

What innovations or localized materials

did I use/discover which I wish to share
with other teachers?
No of learners who require additional
activities for remediation
No. of learners who continue to require
for the remediation
