Originally a sailor of the human merchant vessel (Neutral)
'the Skarlgay', but after an attack by the pirates of
'the Druugldrain' joined their crew of a IDEALS
hodgepodge of races. Spent a few years with
them, but the Captain was slain and the ensuing
power vacuum lead me to part ways. After that I I’ll always remember my first ship.
bounced from ship to ship, raiding and exploring I’m loyal to my crew first, everything else
as the ships went. After an incident with a Fey second.
lady, Mari, I followed her direction and wound up
in Caedman's cult. Subsequently I became a BONDS
Leadfoot and a psuedo-member of the
Freemarchers Company. Once I start drinking, it’s hard for me to stop.
I can’t help but pocket loose coins and other trinkets I come
across.
I am prone to boast and bluster.

I think I captured most of it well in the organization


bit, but the incident with the Fey deity is still a little
hazy even for me. I grew up on the street in some
backwater harbor town. It wasn't too far from
Windhaven and a lot of merchants stopped in to
refuel for cheap or to seek shelter when the city's
port was stormy. I the orphan son of a human
whore and an unknown orc. When I was young a
ship came to town and permitted to take me on as
a deckhand, and I started my sea bound journey. I
rose through the ranks of this ship, the Skarlgay,
learning many skills like Navigation and sailing.
Probably a decade from then I was wrecked on a
rocky key, far from all else. It is a little hard to
define the dates on some of those years though,
as I changed ships a few times and because we
chased the summers and sometimes skipped the
dry season altogether during raiding sprees. Upon
the shore of the key I was totally isolated, and little
crazed by sea madness and the isolation, I
stumbled upon a spring of fresh water. Chilling on
the side, swinging her feet in the water was a
beautiful lady. She turned to me and introduced
herself as Mari, the Fey lady of the sea, telling me
she could guide me back to my ship. I eagerly
agreed before I learned the price, which was to
become her mortal agent on the material plane.
She fed me and gave me drink and when I left the
fountain a skiff sat on the shore of the rocky coast.
I boarded and as soon as the key was out of sight
I saw my ship. When I climbed aboard and looked
the back the skiff was gone. That night, when I
prepared for bed, I found in my possession a small
black leather bound book full of spells, and a false
eye made of crystal that had a white X, much like
the skull and cross bones of a pirate ship, in place
of the pupil. In my sleep I dreamt of an octopus
with the same X's for eyes. It spoke with Mari's
voice and it told me that I must go ashore, and
from this dream I did not truly wake until I was
freed from a trance in a dungeon by the Lead
Foots.
