The new EBS control unit does not work with SLD

Applicable to vehicles with EBS 2.2 without

EDC.

Background
The new EBS 2.2 control unit that was
introduced in May 2000 (part no. 1 445 384)
does not function together with the road speed
limiting device (SLD). The road speed limiting
device control lamp is on.

Service solution
The problem occurs when a control unit is
replaced on vehicles already delivered.
Concerned vehicles can be found within the
following chassis numbers:

Scania Södertälje 1 254 424-1 260 817

Scania Zwolle 4 420 708-4 434 367
Scania Angers 9 046 543-9 052 953
Scania Latin Not affected

Correct the problem by removing the DIA L 3

lead at pin 14 in the connector A on the control 5

unit E43 (EBS). It is important that the lead is 6
