Punctured air bellows on 6x2*4 and 8x2*4

Background
On 6x2*4 and 8x2*4 chassis types with normal
chassis and bellows heights, the left-hand front
axle bellows may develop a puncture.
The bottom shock absorber bracket on the left-
hand side can chafe against the air bellows in
connection with suspension deflection. This
will finally result in puncturing of the bellows.
The bottom shock absorber retaining bolt
should be changed for a shorter one so that it
will not come into contact with the bracket for
the anti-roll bar.
Production start for the new bracket:
Scania Södertälje: 1 238 145

The problem does not occur on the right-hand Scania Nederland: 4 388 987
side because there is greater clearance between
Scania Angers: 9 030 758
bracket and bellows on this side.

Action
The bottom bracket can be changed for a lower
bracket which provides greater clearance be-
tween it and the bellows. The shock absorber
need not be changed.
