Excerpt from the minutes of the Committee meeting on Education held at Sangguniang
Panlungsod (SP) Conference Room, Legislative Building, East Poblacion, City of Naga, Cebu
on April 28, 2020.

PRESENT:

The meeting was called to order at 9:52 a.m. with Hon. Scott Juvenal A. Chiong, presiding.

I. BUSINESS DISCUSSED:
1. The proposed amendment of the City Scholarship Program was revised last
April 2019. Ms. Ruth Rowena B. Alensonorin, City Information & Community
Relations Officer, discussed and highlighted three items stipulated in the
terms and conditions of the College Scholarship Program, viz:

a) If and when there are students belong to Ranks 1-150 who withdraw
from the scholarship program, the available slots will be provided to
those who are on the wait list. Once the scholar receives a notice of
scholarship and eventually turns down the scholarship, he/she must
inform the scholarship committee through a formal submission of a
letter of intent for the availability of a slot of a student in the waiting
list.

b) A student on the wait list can still avail of the scholarship program in
the second semester of the First Year provided that his/her Midterm
general weighted average is 2.5 or its equivalent with no failing
grades.

c) Underload in a semester or semesters may be considered,

however, the scholar should be able to finish the course in 4 or 5
years as the case may be. A student can take summer classes as
long as he/she can finish the degree taken.

With no other matters to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 10:18 a.m. upon the
motion of Hon. Letecia F. Abangan, duly seconded by Hon. Charmaine R. Navarro.
