mechanism does not form the correct collapse mechanism. The correct
position of the circular yield line must lie somewhere inside the cirele of
zero subgrade reaction, as shown in Fig. 9.35.
For dual, triple, and quadruple circular loads and a strip load, similar
expressions can be derived. They are listed in Table 9.3 as derived originally
by Jiang (1979).
