RESEARCH METHOLOGY

This section contains the methods of research and procedures to be used in gathering the

data, the sampling technique used, the description of respondents, the instrument used, the

setting of the study, and the ethical considerations that the researchers used for this study

Methods of Research

The researchers will be using the descriptive qualitative research. They will have an

interview a face to face conversation and the respondents will be asked about their social

adjustment to different school environment. The interview is for the researchers to have a

support and evidence for this study.

Population, Sample size and Sample technique

The researchers conducted a series of interviews from grade 7 to grade 12 girls and boys

one by one. In this research we used the Quota Sampling, the new students are the only selected

respondents  for the interview of this research. Out of the 24 respondents only 15 of them were

used as the sample for the study. They were asked about their social adjustment to their different

school environment. The researchers prepared 10 questions for each interviewee and the answers

of the respondents will be the evidence of this study.

Setting of the Study

The study was conducted inside Al - Majd International School in Dammam (Philippine

Curriculum), it is an International Private School in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is an

International School where students have different religions, cultures, traditions, and nationalities

but they’re still uniting as one.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers will make an informed consent to the respondents of the study regarding

the questionnaires about their social adjustment in their new school environment. They will

explain the entire process of the research for them to understand it better.

 This research was based on a series of interviews conducted among the new students of

the Junior and Senior high school. The interview was conducted starting from October 2, 2019 to

October 10, 2019 where the students were asked questions regarding their social adjustment in

their new school environment. The questions asked if they are adjusting well to their new school

environment, how did they manage to adjust to their new school environment, did they have a

hard time adjusting and have they encounter problems in socializing with their classmates. 

The student’s answer will show how they adjusted to their new school environment. This

will show if they had a hard time adjusting to their new school environment or if they easily

adjust to their new school environment.
