 “The Hotel Bellhop”

INTERTILE LEAVES SCREEN.

CCTV STATIC.
INT. HOTEL LOBBY.

CCTV LOBBY CAMERA 1.

MOOM is in a fancy HOTEL LOBBY. There is a check-in counter
behind him with an attendant, stairs to the left and soft
chairs on a viewing platform in front of large windows. The
doors to the hotel are open due to the hot summer weather. The
sounds of distant traffic and chatting is heard, also the
slight tinniness of headphone speakers.

MOOM is seen to be placing customers luggage onto a TROLLY, he

has his WALKMAN on so to keep his anxiety down. His SHOELACES
are untied and unnoticed.

SFX: DISTANCE TRAFFIC/ CHATTING AND HEADPHONES.

SFX: PHONE RINGING (HOTEL RECEPTION).

As MOOM comes to the end of loading the BAGGAGE, he seems to

realise there is no more room for the last wheeled SUITCASE.
Seeming had an idea, MOOM grabs the handle to the SUITCASE and
moves around the back of the TROLLY.

SFX: SUITCASE WHEELS

Using just once hand, MOOM starts to push the TROLLEY and pull
the SUITCASE at the same time. Closing his eyes, MOOM bobs
along to the beat of his music from the WALKMAN.

SFX: TROLLEY and SUITCASE WHEELS.

SFX: TINNY WALKMAN MUSIC.
As MOOM walks along, becoming more and more distracted, he
trips over his UNDONE SHOELACES. MOOM falls forwards, pushing
the TROLLEY down the HOTEL LOBBY STAIRS and out of the OPEN
FRONT DOORS. The TROLLEY can be heard and seen to be BOUNCING
down the stairs, whilst gaining momentum. The suitcase lands
next to him.

SFX: TROLLY AND SUITCASES BOUNCING.

HOTEL STREET CCTV CAM 1.

The TROLLY flies over the pavement from the bottom step of the
hotel, racing its way across the road. Two CARS try to avoid
the TROLLY, in their haste crashing into each other. MOOM is
seen running in to the street, his earphones are no longer on
and stunned by what is happening.

SFX: TROLLY BOUNCHING AND ROLLING.

SFX: CARS SCREECHING AND CRASHING.

When reaching the PAVEMENT on the other side of the Road, the
TROLLEY somersaults though the air. As it goes, luggage spills
everywhere. The TROLLEY smashes into the window of the SKATE
DINNER, glass flies all over and some screams can be heard
from diners.

SFX: LUGGAGE THUDING AND OPENING.

SFX: GLASS SMASHING AND SOME SCREAMS.
SFX: CAR ALARM STARTS.

MOOM becomes anxious and puts his earphones back on.

FADES OUT TO CCTV CAMERA STATIC.

INTERTILE FLIES ACROSS – LAUNDRETTE.
SFX: MUSIC
END.
