To the families of Mrs. Bracken’s first grade class, 

First, a big thank you! 

I would like to start by thanking you as the families of your first grade students for all 
the effort and endeavours that you made to get the children to this point in their 
education. I know the year thus far has been challenging. I would also like to thank 
you for the opportunity that I had to be in the classroom and part of your children’s 
first grade experience.  

Your children have been a daily reminder of why I am a student teacher to become a 
full time teacher and someday soon have my very own classroom.  

Please know that each of your students are a pleasure to be around and a joy to see 
each and every day! Know that I will greatly miss them and will always keep them in 
my heart and in my mind.  

I am sad as I had to say my goodbyes, give air hugs and shed some tears. As I close this 
chapter in my life story, I am opening a new one and about to partake of my lifelong 
dream. So, with that being said, I hope the absolute best future for each of your 
children and one day dream of seeing them with a smile on their face, wearing a cap 
and gown and reaching for their dreams.
