ADOLESCENT REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

A Narrative Report
The Department of Education has a program “Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd” and part of this is
Adoloscent Reproductive Health orientation.

Adolescent reproductive health (ARH) is recognized as a key development concern that helps the
young ones to be oriented about the transient stage between childhood and adulthood and a formative
period during which many life patterns are learned. Hence, as an institution, it is part to give orientation to
the pupils about ARH for them to be aware of.

Since July is a Nutrition Month, Bulanao East Elementry School conducted its culminating activity
and OK sa DepEd was conducted simultaneously. Part of the program is the conduct of ARH Orientation.

The culminating activity was held last July 31, 2019. The orientation was started at exactly 1:30 in
the afternoon. It was participated by the Grade 6 pupils from sections Narra and Molave of which has a
population of 62 respectively.

The speaker was Mrs. Jane Michelle Banganan, the school nurse of Bulanao East Elementary School
and Kalinga National High School . She emphasizes the importance of health awareness, preparedness in
the adulthood tasks specially on sexual maturity. The lecture lasted for one and a half hour.
