20 mins Students will listen to the UAE anthem.

Tr: now we will listen to the Month of the year song.

Tr: what month is this?

Ss: October.

Tr: what date is today?

Ss: 15.

Students will listen to “7 days of the week song”

tr: what day is today?

Ss: Thursday.

Tr: how many days we have in the week?

Ss: 7.

- Prior knowledge:

Tr: let's take the attendance, please send one emoji in the chat box.

Tr: you will need an eraser, math book2, paper, pencil.

Tr: before we begin the lesson, we will review what we took yesterday.

Tr: let’s try to solve this equation, I will choose some students to help me
here.

Tr: here we have 37 + 8 =, we will add now the ones so 7+8=15, what I have
to do now?

Tr: here I have 15, 1 is the tens, and 5 is the ones what I will write down and
what I will carry up?
Ss: 5 down and 1 up.

Tr: after that what we will do?

Tr: add 1+3=4.

Tr: so, the answer is?

Ss: 45

- Modelling:

Tr: today we will learn about add two-digit numbers.

Tr: our vocabulary is, ones, tens, add, add carry up.

Tr: here we have two equation, the first one is 35 + 29 =

Tr: first, we will add the ones so, 5 + 9 = 14.

Tr will write 14 and ask the students who can tell me where is the ones here?

Ss: 4.

Tr: good, so we will write 4 down and we will carry up 1.

Tr: now we will add, 3 + 2 = 5, and don’t forget the 1 that is up, so 5 + 1 = 6
, the answer will be 64.

Tr: let’s try the second equation, 48 + 46 =, first we will count the ones, so 8 +
6 = 14, Tr will write 14 and ask the students who can tell me where is the ones
here?

Ss: 4,

Tr: good, so we will write 4 down and we will carry up the tens which is 1.

Tr: now we will count the tens, 4 + 4 =?

Ss: 8.
Tr: and we should not forget the 1 that is up right?

Tr: so, it will be 9, the answer will be 94.

After that, the teacher will solve 3 questions with the students.

After that, the teacher will solve “problem-solving” with students' help.
