1. Annual Patronal Town Fiesta Whole community of Barotac June 4-13, 2017
A yearly event in celebration of Nuevo
the abundance of blessings
bestowed by the Almighty Father
through the intercession of our
Patron Saint, San Antonio de
Padua; this event is depicted
through various activities

2. 1st Mayor Braeden John Q. Biron Secondary students in the August 22, 2017

To present the uniqueness of
Barotac Nuevo in the form of
photography

3. Search for the Seal of Good Local LGU, DepEd, other agencies September 6, 2017
Governance (SGLG) of the DILG concerned
A prestigious search for all LGUs
in terms of performance in the
core areas of operation (financial
administration, disaster
preparedness, environmental
management, social protection,
business-friendliness &
competitiveness, peace & order,
tourism, culture and the arts)

4. Site- visitation on the identified LGU, ISAT U tourism students, September 7, 2017
mangroves and sea grasses at barangays concerned
the coastal barangays as
potential ecological tourism
destination
Located at Sitio Lamintao and the
rest of the barangays
5. Participation to the 13th
Tumandok at the Robinson’s LGU, ISAT U, Province of Iloilo September 21-24, 2017

To showcase the talents of
Barotacnons in various forms of

Association of Tourism Officers Participants to the ATOP October 4-6, 2017
in the Philippines (ATOP) National Convention

sports tourism package cluster to
be visited by the participants;

7. 3rd Paghiliusa Festival

In celebration of the Christmas LGU, DepEd, Barangay Officials, December 13-20, 2017
Season and to create unity and Public & Private entities
camaraderie among the youth &
the community through dances,
sports and the like.

8. Assisted in the 1st Color Fun Run, LGU, Private organization and
as a Pre- Paghiliusa Activity other December 13-20, 2017
A sports oriented activity where
everybody is enjoined to
participate, a first of its kind in
the municipality.
