REFLECTION: As a student, what do you think are the importance of having a credentials in getting
a job?

Credentials can help you get a job, keep it and advance in your career. It greatly increases the likelihood of gaining
a favorable promotion at work. The company/industry sees credentials as a pre-requisite for a job, it serves as a
precommitment to perform the job effectively. If you put yourself in their place, finding and hiring a competent
and high quality employee is a must. Knowing an applicant selected for an interview has the knowledge and skills
your company needs gives the employers a peace of mind that their future employees will be ready to keep the
company running, when business thrives, communities thrives as well. Just remember that a well-suited credential can
help immensely in making sure the individual’s the perfect match for the available role, which eventually results in
less turnover cost. And that’s why having credentials is important in getting a job.
