They are specialized division of CAD draftspersons that use their skills to create custom casework

(cabinetry), custom contract furniture, countertops (solid surface, plastic laminate, stone, stainless
steel and epoxy) as well as all select, recommend, and assign all hardware associated with these
items, such as drawer pulls, drawer glides, hinge assemblies, locking mechanisms and specialized
cabinetry hardware.

Take lead role in coordinating drafting tasks with production schedule.

Use AutoCAD to produce shop drawings in Cabinet Vision or Mircrovellum environment to generate
production orders

Program details and sections for fabrication, including all CNC machining

 Process projects through Microvellum/Cabinet Vision and Cutrite


 Work with Purchasing to identify deadlines for material counts
 Prepare stock requisitions for purchasing
 Prepare and distribute manufacturing paperwork, product labels and packing slips
 Proactively coordinate projects with project managers to close open items
 Build and maintain Microvellum/Cabinet Vision product library
 Knowledge of layout, shop drawings and construction of customized commercial
casework & millwork
 Familiarity with materials and hardware for commercial casework and millwork
 Estimating, purchasing and scheduling experience is a plus
 Experience working with Owners, Architects Contractors and Designers
 Able to effectively manage information, schedules and people
 Well organized and able to appropriately prioritize tasks

They work closely with in house estimators, project managers and field personnel. Successful
candidates should have a strong understanding of wood working materials and manufacturing
methods.

 Use Microvellum Toolbox to provide and maintain accurate shop drawings and
submittals, to ensure timely production, per customer specifications;
 Thoroughly communicate with the Project Management team regarding items that may
affect the overall project (pricing, scheduling, delivery, etc.);
 Take ownership of internal design-intent, confirming the functionality of products, and
provide a solution to potential problems;
 Use Microvellum Toolbox to produce both custom and production programs for
manufacturing facility;
 Provide a take-off of materials, requisitioning from and coordinating with the
Procurement department;
 Use 2D and 3D drawings to communicate product details to improve fabrication and
decrease field labor, assembly time, and complications;
 Provide inline quality assurance, reviewing cut lists, final optimizations package, and
overall project prior to releasing for production;
 Drive process improvement, best practices, and new technology;
 Meet or exceed deadlines with limited supervision;
 Interface with multiple departments and individuals;
 Demonstrate commitment to deliver outstanding service;
 Make decisions during fabrication in line with the design intent.
 Experience using AutoCAD or similar software, required
 Organized, responsible, enthusiastic, and timely with a strong work ethic is mandatory
 Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining standards in quality
and craftsmanship a must

 Responsible for creating code for the CNC and other manufacturing machinery.
 Responsible for maintaining the integrity of shop drawings files
 Participation in design meetings
 Use of Revit software for BIM coordination as projects dictates

 Use Microsoft Access (Database) to manage and document projects


 Consider appliance/equipment sizes and clearances as well as ADA clearance
requirements
 Review supporting documents to ensure project success
 Provide pre-production instruction in the form of Details to instruct the production of
submittal
 Create the approach of the all awarded ISEC projects and present in strategy meetings
 Communicate with ISEC engineering and third-party engineering firms in the form of a
Strategy meeting and Kick off meeting.
 Uses 2D and 3D drawings to communicate project details to clearly communicate
entitlement, decrease engineering labor, improve fabrication, decrease field labor, assembly
time and field complications.
