According to Blencowe et, al., (2011), clean birth and post-natal

care practices are effective in reducing neonatal mortality from sepsis

and tetanus. Therefore, since most of the respondents were able to give

birth to a clean environment, the researchers inferred that there was a

low possibility of infection during delivery.

In regard to item 7 on table 5, Teaching about long term outcomes

such as building iron stores and bone mass is as important as short-

term goals, such as to eat better for a week. Eating more nutritious foods

for a week will probably will not lead to a radical change. However,

continuing a healthy eating pattern throughout the pregnancy will bring

about important changes and help prepare a woman for feeding her

family nutritionally for years to come (USSDA, 2012)

The table shows that most of the MWRAs were receiving proper

nutrition. Based on these, the researchers inferred that the respondents

knowledgeable in regards with the needs of their baby during pregnancy.
