(1st phase)
INTRODUCTION
G*P: HEY HEY Mga fellow students, ako nga pala si (myname), at ako naman si (yourname), (P) at nandito kami
para talakayin ang isa sa mga mahahalagang lakbayin ng ating pambansang bayani na si dr. jose rizal sa
europa,(G) itoy naganap pagkatapos niyang mailathala ang noli me tangere kasama ang kanyang kaibigan na si
maximo viola. Dito ipapakita naming ang mga lugar na pinunthan nila sa europa.
-kaya ano pang iniintay natin, magsimula na.

-maganda sana rito sa 2nd phase ng video ifflash mo lahat ng mga lugar na pinuntahan nila tapos tsaka
magfflash yung title.
-RIZAL’S GRAND TOUR IN EUROPE WITH VIOLA (1887)-

(3rd phase) Dresden And First meeting with Blumentritt.


G* nagsimula ang lakbayin nina rizal at viola sa europa matapos nilang lisanin ang Potsdam city sa berlin
noong may 11, 1887. Sakay-sakay ng tren na ang destinasyon ay papunta sa “DRESDEN”na tinaguriang one of
the best cities sa germany.
-ditoy binisita nila si Dr. Adolph B. Meyer na isang German anthropologist, ornithologist, entomologist, and
herpetologist sa europa. Pinuntahan rin nila ang Museum of art kung saan ay sobrang napahanga si rizal sa
isang painting na tinatawag na “Prometheus Bound”. Sa Dresden din ay kinatagpo nila si Dr. Feodor Jagor na
kanilang napgsabihan ng planong pagpunta kay professor. Ferdinand blumentritt sa leitmeritz.
G* pumunta nga sila rizal sa leitmeritz noong may 15, 1887 kung saan silay sinalubong ni professor blumentritt
na nagasikaso narin ng kanilang matutuluyan sa hotel krebs. si professor. Ferdinand blumentritt ay isang
Austrian teacher, secondary school principal in Leitmeritz, lecturer, and author of articles and books in the
Philippines and its ethnography. At mula mayo 13 hanggang 14 ay nanatili sila sa tahanan ng professor. Kahit
sa maiksing panahon ay kinagiliwan ni rizal at viola ang buong pamilya ng professor, mula sa pagaasikaso
sakanila hanggang kay professor na naglibot sakanila sa scenic and historical spots sa leitmeritz, kung saan ay
hinangaan rin si rizal ng kanilang town mayor na si burgomaster.

(4th phase) Prague and Vienna.


P* pagkatapos sa leitmeritz, nagpunta naman sila sa historic city of PRAGUE. ditoy dala dala nila ang letters of
recommendation mula kay blumentritt, para kay Dr. Willkomm, professor in university of prague. at ditto rin
sa leitmeritz binisita nila ang the Tomb of Copernicus, the famous astronomer, the museum of natural history,
bacteriological laboratories, famous cave where San Juan Nepomuceno, the Catholic Saint was imprisoned and
many more.
-but then Rizal and Viola left Prague and According to Viola “ nothing of importance happened” in that city.
P* noong mayo 20 naman ay sa lugar ng Vienna, capital of Austria- Hungary sila nagpunta. Vienna is a city that
is famous in song and story, this city fascinated Rizal because of its beautiful buildings, religious images,
haunting waltzes and majestic charm. Vienna was truly the “Queen of the Danube”. In vienna they meet
Norfenfals, one of the greatest novelist in Europe. -Rizal and Viola stayed in Hotel Metropole. They visited
churches, museum, art galleries, theaters and public park. – and here They also meet two good friend of
Blumentritt Masner and Nordmann
(5th phase) Danubian Voyage to Lintz, From Lintz to Rheinfall (Cascade of Rhine) and Crossing the Frontier to
Switzerland.
G* On May 24, Rizal and Viola left Vienna on a river boat to see the beautiful sights of the Danube River. As
they travel along the famous river, Rizal observed keenly river---the barges loaded with products, the flowers
and plants growing along the river banks, the boats with families living on them and the quaint villages on the
riverside.
-The river voyage ended in Lintz. They traveled overland to Salzburg and from there to Munich where they
sojourned for a short time to savor the famous Munich beer, reputed to be the best in Germany.
-they also visited to Ulm, the Cathedral of this City was the “ largest and tallest in all Germany”.
-Next, they went to Stuttgart, Baden and then Rheinfall. They saw the waterfall “the most beautiful waterfall
in Europe.
-From Rheinfall, they crossed the frontier to Schaffhausen, Switzerland. They stayed in this city from June 2 to
3 1887. They continued their tour to Basel (Bale), Bern and Lausanne.

(6th phase) Geneva, Rizal Resents exhibition of Igorots in 1887 Madrid exposition and Rizal in Italy.
P* After sightseeing in Lausanne, Rizal and Viola left on a little boat, crossing the foggy Leman Lake to Geneva.
This Swiss city is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, visited by world tourist every year. The people of
Geneva were linguists speaking French, German and Italian. Rizal conversed with them in these three
languages. and on -June 19, 1887 Rizal treated Viola in his 26th Birthday. But -June 23. Rizal and Viola parted
ways- Viola returned to Barcelona and Rizal continue his tour in Italy.
-While Rizal, accompanied by Dr. Viola, was happily touring Europe, an Exposition of the Philippines was held
in Madrid, Spain. Upon reaching Geneva (Switzerland) , he received sad news from his friends in Madrid of the
deplorable conditions of the primitive Igorots who were exhibited in this exposition, some of whom died and
whose scanty clothing (G-strings)and crude weapons were objects of mockery and laughter by the Spanish
people and press.
-From Geneva, He visited turn, Milan , Venice and Florence. On June 27, 1887, he reached Rome, the “Eternal
City” and also called the “City of the Caesars”
he visited Turin, Milan, Venice and Florence. On June 27, 1887 – he reached Rome “ City of Ceasar”. -He was
thrilled by the sights and memories of Eternal City.
-June 29th , Feast Day of St. Peter and St. Paul. He visited Vatican, “city of Popes”. And the capital of
Christendom. -After that, Rizal back to his Hotel, he wrote to Blumentritt, “ I am tired as a dog, but I will sleep
as a God” -After a wonderful sojourn in Rome, Rizal prepared to return to the Philippines.

(7TH phase)
P* at ayun na nga ang lugar na pinuntahan ni rizal at viola sa europa.
G* napakaraming lugar ang kanyang napuntahan, mukhang siguroy napagod si rizal sa kakalakad, ngunit kahit
nagkagayoy kitang kita parin kung paano hindi nagpahuli si rizal sa mga lugar na kanilang pinuntahan at may
mga taong humanga dito sa kanya kahit hindi ito ang kanyang lugar. Maraming aral din ang itinuro ng araling
ito sa akin, gaya ng kung gaano ka adventurist ang ating pambansang bayani sa kanyang kapanahunan sabi nga
niya “ravel is caprice in childhood, a passion in youth, a necessity in manhood and an elegy in old age.”, kaya
nga talagang kahanga hanga ang ating bayani
-ikaw ba Paulo, meron ka bang natutunan sa ating tinalakay
P* oo naman, *state molang natutunan mo
-at sanay kayo rin, mga kamagaral, ay may natutunan sa aming itinalakay
