I. COURSE DESCRIPTION (English 4 – Technical Writing)


This course emphasizes the study and practice of all forms of communications in business. It includes all forms of business letters, the job interview,
negotiating and entertaining clients, telephony and texting, memoranda, formal and informal reports and other reports and other forms of business reports.

54 hours (18 weeks)

III. COURSE GENERALOBJECTIVES:


1. Determine the importance of business letter in the business world.
2. Review a few of the major pitfalls in grammatical expression.
3. Learn and apply the basic approaches to effective communication suited to business operations in the Philippine setting.
4. Prepare students not only to enter upon their business careers but also to advance in those careers through effective communication.
5. Expose students to the different letterforms, styles and models.
6. Write various forms of letters in correct form.
7. To inculcate truth and goodness and for all others through education as a value for each student.
8. To strive in producing through a responsive curriculum, morally upright, committed and competent graduates who can satisfy the growing human resources
needs in the profession, government, business and industry.
