7 PREPARATION

1. Checking of separator lifting drawing

This has to be done by the construction manager. Field engineer, superintendent and
supervisor to determine the correct resources needed to perform the job.

2. Checking of client supplied material and equipment

Checking and inspection of the materials and equipment including the spare part is to
be done by the material control. He will make sure that all materials, equipment and
spare part in the packing list or shipping.

3. Checking of erection material, equipment, tools and machinery

In the early stage of planning, these resource has been already identified. The schedule
of mobilization is as planed schedule made by the construction manager and engineer.

4. Checking of labour

Labour requirement for every stage of erection job is prepared by the engineer and his
erection team, which is in accordance to their planning.

5. Checking foundation separator

On foundation separator must approval from client and subcontractor, before erection
begin.

6. Check site condition

For erection squence we need reinforce of ground condition becouse actual ground
condition now doesn’t allow for crane position.

8 GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENT

Safety will be the first consideration and the highest priority.

8.1 Ensure JSA and permit to work (PTW) has been released before start to work.

8.2 Time of work follow permit to work and permit to work must be approved first.

8.3 Perform pre-job safety meeting before doing activities and review all the preparation
including all equipment.

8.4 Personal protective equipment to be used

a. Safety helmet + Chin Strap.

b. Safety Glass.
c. Safety shoes.
d. Hand glove.
e. Full Body Harness for working with height > 1,8 m
f. Standard Masker.

8.5 Rigging & Lifting

a. Ensure all crane components are inspected.

b. Check all crane certificates are adequate and current until completion of the work.
c. Check ground bearing condition / soil settlement before Lift, ensure the location of crane
is stable & maneuver crane properly.
d. Clear area of workers / persons.
• Ensure critical lifts are covered by a formal rigging / lifting plan.
• Make sure the crane operator, Signal Man & Lifting crew in good healthy physically
and mentally before doing the job of lifting.
e. Ensure all rigging equipment is certified with updated certificates.
f. Crane and all rigging equipment must be already inspected by component person before
use.
g. Barricade the lifting area. Ensure all workers not walk under boom a crane or a
suspended load.
h. Ensure Lifting Gear in Good Condition and pass Inspection. Make sure that color coding
system is used.

i. Tagline to be attached to material to control material during lifting process

j. Ensure there is only one signal man, to command all the lifting activity
k. Ensure the lifting team understand about lifting sequence
l. Check Load indicator at cabin crane, ensure total weight not more than pre-estimation
on Rigging calculation

8.6 Managed/controlled traffic properly, provide sign board before the working area in two
directions.

8.7 Transportation and traffic

a. Ensure that transport is checked.

b. All driver or operator must have valid licenses for the class and type of vehicles that
they drive or operate and must be have a SIMPER (Project Driving Licenses), without
SIMPER is prohibited to operate vehicle inside project area.
c. Driver or operator must be fit and good health to operate the vehicle.
d. Flag man must be available at critical area of transport, such as traffic crowded, loading/
unloading work, etc.

8.8 House Keeping

a. All work areas shall be kept clean on an ongoing basis or at a minimum daily
b. Containers for scrap metal shall be provide and utilized.
c. No job is complete until tools have been cleaned and properly stored, scrap and waste
material disposed of, and the equipment and work locations is in good orderly condition

9 WORK IDENTIFICATION

Before installation equipment, ensure all work civil foundation at separator area shall be release
or handover .These is work fronts that shall be release from other disciplines. Surveyor to verify
centre line and elevation equipment on install foundation.
