Lesson 1 - Tableware
Tableware are used to set a table for a meal. Plates, spoons, forks, knives, teapots, mugs,
cups and saucers, and bowls are tableware.

These are two plates/bowls. This is a spoon/fork. These are two knives/forks.
“Yesterday, I had a bowl of cereal with milk for breakfast. For lunch, I had meat and
salad. After school, I played football for one hour. In the afternoon, I had a bowl of fruit
salad. For dinner, I had a plate of pasta with vegetables. I had some ice cream for
dessert. At night, I slept for 10 hours. Yesterday was a healthy day!”
Note:
The simple past tense refers to action that happens in the past.
Example:
a. I exercised in the evening.
b. I slept for 10 hours.
c. Yesterday, I had a plate of pasta for dinner.
The words “exercised”, “slept”, and “had” show actions in the past.
The word “yesterday” shows the time the action happens.
