ACTIVITY 1

Let’s Analyze
After you know the terms, places and events in the historical
antecedents of Science and Technology, you should also be able to
explain it in your own understanding and it is highly appreciated. I
will require you to explain thoroughly your answers to this following
questions:
1. Describe what scientific and technological development that
created a huge changed in our society.
The discovery of new information and its application to increase
human well-being and resolve societal challenges are how science and
technology contribute to society. As we can see, the railway permitted
the speedy movement of people and products across great distances,
which had a significant impact on our society. The telegraph and, later,
the telephone are used to connect people across the countryside.

The concept of progress was inextricably linked to technological

advancement, and this bond grew stronger in the decades that followed.
Not only did the automobile and the airplane transform travel, but they
also changed the nature of our towns and cities. More of the outside
world came into everyone's homes thanks to radio and eventually
television. Exploring the possibilities of sickness has resulted in the
availability of precise remedies and early detection. The transistor
substantially decreased the price, energy, mobility, and cost of
computers when it was originally invented.
2. How did the development in science and technology brought
changes in human society?
Every day, billions of people stand to gain from technological
advancement, even if they are capable of contributing to that
advancement or not, and of if they are even intelligent enough to
understand the science behind that advancement. The level of effort and
energy necessary to complete task is usually lowered and shortened as a
result of scientific improvement. A coffee-making machine, for example,
is both convenient and time-saving. Technology-enabled products speed
up daily work and life processes, allowing people to accomplish more on a
constant basis.

Science and technology not only have a significant impact on our daily
lives and have brought about improvements, but they also have an impact
on world affairs and health issues. Science and technology have
undeniably made our lives more enjoyable because of the countless
benefits they have brought; they have shortened, sped up, secured, and
enriched our lives. Even when there has already been a significant impact
on our daily lives, society, and global affairs, it is completely obvious that
the impact is only growing over time. Surprisingly, we have become much
more capable while also becoming more reliant on this process.

3. Give three reasons what made” The Great Wall of China “ so

famous?

The Great Wall of China is well-known for its long history and massive
size, which has now been reported to be seen from space. Hiking and
photography are two more pleasurable pursuits that can be used to put one's
endurance to the test.

Reason 1: The Great Wall of China is China's most popular tourist

destination.
It is a must-see for anybody visiting China.
Reason 2: China's Great Wall is the world's longest man-made construction.
It stretches for a total of 21,196 kilometers (13,170 miles).
Reason 3: Take Excellent Photographs
The Great Wall of China is an excellent photographic location.
Summer, when the Wall goes up and down on the lush green mountains, and
autumn, when the neighborhood is a multicolored fawn, are the ideal times to
photograph.
The Great Wall of China is the first of the new seven wonders of the world.
