are Pahiyas, Fertility Dance, Moriones, Ati-atihan,
Sinulog, Dinagyang and Santacruzan.
Excellent! How about the nonreligious Festivals
in the Philippines? - Ma’am the non-religious festivals in the
Philippines are Panagbengga, Maskara,
Kaamulan, Kadayawan.

Before we start our lesson, let us have an

Festival. Let us define what Sinulog Festival is. Please -Sinulog Festival is a traditional celebration in

was the theme adopted for the 2012 Sinulog Festival.

January in Cebu City.

atihan Festival. The Ati-atihan festival is very lively,
colorful and it is a weeklong fiesta. It is known as the
mother of all festivals in the Philippines. It is a feast
held annually in honor of Sto. Nino in the island of
Kalibo, Aklan. The celebration begins in the 3rd week of
January.

Is there anyone who knows the meaning of Ati-atihan?


-Ma’am the meaning of Ati-Atihan is “to be like
