Luke Moraleda is a former civil engineering student who graduated from the University of the City of Manila. He enjoys sports like swimming and martial arts, and represented Pampanga in arnis competitions. Currently, he is working on a project that aims to address both the environmental crisis of plastic waste and introduce a promising business opportunity. The project involves creating biodegradable plastic cutlery made from agricultural waste like potato peels to provide a more sustainable alternative to the billions of plastic cutlery pieces that are discarded after single use. The team's product called BIOPLASTIC CUTLERY seeks to change perceptions and encourage more environmentally friendly habits.

ASSESSMENT NO. 6: Elevator Pitch
Hi my name is Luke L. Moraleda, a former 3rd year student of the University
of the City of Manila or more known as Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. I started my college in 2018 and took bachelor of science in civil engineering for my course. I also graduated at Collegio De la Sagrada or known as Holy Family Academy at Pampanga wherein I took Science Engineering and Technology as my specialization or track curriculum. I like sports such as swimming and martial arts. I am a competitive person so I joined numerous competitions and proud to say became one of the representatives of Pampanga in the filipino martial art’s arnis national competition at baguio. Currently we have an interesting project which aims to solve environmental crisis against plastic and agricultural waste but also propose a promising business which introduces biodegradable plastic cutlery into the market. The use of plastic cutlery is estimated to be 40 billion pieces in the United states alone and after just one single use, most of them are thrown out and end up in landfills or in our waterways. So, our team came up with an idea of creating a biodegradable and ecofriendly way to produce cutlery made from agricultural waste such as potato peel. With this vision, something has to change. We must move or take action to stop this harmful trend of plastic cutlery and turn ourselves to more sustainable products. Our team and product is focused on changing people’s view and habits by encouraging everyone to rethink this dangerous type of wasteful behavior. So, I present to you our solution to aid not only our environment but also to preserve humanity and wildlife, the BIOPLASTIC CUTLERY.
