The regular season is winding down for the 2021
American :Legion baseball teams. But the Glasgow
Reds still have plenty of home games left on their docket.
Tonight they will host Miles City in a doubleheader,
then on Saturday Laurel comes to two for a twinbill.
The Reds will also host the Eastern A Divisional
Tournament at Bill Connors Field.
Glasgow swept the Froid Bulls Tuesday night, 4-2
and 15-3. The Reds were coming off of a successful
weekend at the Williston Tourney where they went 3-2,
losing the championship game to Bismarch, 4-3.
Glasgow opened the tourney blanking Mandan 11-
0. Bismarck edged the Reds 2-1, but the Rds rallied to
bet the iWillston Orange 8-3 and Williston Black 12-2.
Against Froid, the first game was tied at 2 in the
sixth inning when Calvin Bengochea walked,which
scored a run. Glasgow added another run for a 4-2 lead.
Bengochea had a solo home run in the third inning.
JT Sprague worked on the hill to get the win,
pitching five innings where he gave up two runs on one
hit and fanned six. Julian Benson finished the game to
earn a save.
The Reds jumped on the Bulls in the first inning of
the night cap, scoring a run on an error. Glasgow crossed
home plate six times in the seventh frame. Jeremiah
Benson, Jordan Plummer, Riley Smith, Tel Aune, and
Julian Benson all drove in runs.
Rance Rhoards picked up the win,going six and
two-thirds innings.Rhoads struck out five and allowed
seven hits. Julian Benson came in to relieve Rhoads .
Glasgow hammered out nine hits in the game with
Smith and Bengocehea each having two hits.

The Fort Peck Summer Theatre presents touring
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS….or 37
MINUTES!
In this original comedy with music, an eccentric
inventor embarks on a fever-paced globe-trotting
journey, and along the way is enlightened by different
cultures, explores famous landmarks, and fills up his
passport with memories of brilliant, though often
mad-cap escapades!
Around the World in 80 Days…or 37 Minutes! is
written by Fort Peck Artistic Director Andy Meyers
and produced in partnership with emerging company
AM Theatrical. Music is arranged by Jane Best. AM
Theatrical has developed this original piece with special
support from Valley County Community Foundation.
qThe production is directed by FPST Performing
Arts Camp Director Megan Wiltshire with musical
direction by Alicia Bullock-Muth. It features actors
Mathias Oliver and Jay Michael Roberts. Sydney
Hayward serves as Tour Manager, with designs by
Chae Clearwood (costumes), Treyson Sherk (scenic)
and Paisley Wanamaker (props).
Theatre for Young Audience (TYA) is designed
to educate and enlighten youth, with a goal to
bring visibility, excitement and awareness about
the performing arts. Under an hour in length, TYA
productions are perfect for the entire family: geared
towards children, but sure to engage all ages while it
encourages and fosters a love for theatre. Admission
for these performances is FREE.
Around the World in 80 Days…or 37 Minutes! tour

Daniels County Fair kicks off with rodeo tonight
The 68th Daniels County Fair starts today, July 15th,
and will wrap up on Sunday evening.
Wrist bands are required for the NRA Rodeo (&
slack), Ranch Rodeo and Demolition Derby. They are $35
for all events or $15 per event. Separate concert tickets, $50
each, are required.
Wrist bands and Carnival tickets are for sale at the
Credit Union, Independence Bank and Hometown
Hardware through Friday and at the fairgrounds all four
days.
Some of the highlights include all the 4-H activities,
a carnival, and the evening events: NRA Rodeo, Ranch
Rodeo, Ned LeDoux in concert and Demo Derby. Addy’s
Animal Farm petting zoo will be Saturday and Sunday
starting at 1 p.m.
